School Counselors are trained mental health professionals who are ready to listen to students and provide interventions for social-emotional stressors that may be impeding students' success in and out of the classroom. They are an integral part of our school community working together to help children, teachers, parents, and other school personnel.
The Vision of Lamar L. Curry Middle School's Counseling Program is for all students to exceed expectations in academic achievement, personal and social development, and college and career readiness. As leaders of the future, our students will know how to work collaboratively with others and become lifelong learners and successful contributors of society.
The Mission of Lamar L. Curry Middle School's Counseling Program is to ensure that all students have access to academic advancement while bridging academic gaps. Through the delivery of developmentally appropriate, preventive, and responsive counseling services, the program promotes the academic achievement, personal/ social growth, and college and career readiness of all students.
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
As the school year starts, we will be working diligently to ensure that all students are appropriately placed in their academic classes.
Student schedules are subject to change to abide by state and district requirements. Students with questions or concerns about their schedule should see a counselor during their lunch time.
