Mental Health Education

While adolescence is a difficult time for many students, there is a real difference between “typical” and “troubled”. Mental health problems in students are real, may be painful, and, if left untreated can have serious, life changing consequences.

90% of people who develop a mental disorder show warning signs during their teen years.

20% of children and adolescents have a mental health disorder

11% of youth between the ages of 9 and 17 having a major mental health disorder.

Know the warning signs and reach out for help by contacting your child's doctor and/or a mental health professional. Early recognition, intervention, and treatment of mental health issues make a positive difference.
